Patsy Ann Whitmire

Patiance Rayne Kincaid

In Loving Memory of Patsy Whitmire

Patsy Whitmire, 81 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 17, 2026. She was born on May 2, 1945, to Eunice and Charlie Thompson and she was the youngest of nine children.

Patsy was a devoted Christian whose faith in God was the foundation of her life. She lived each day with kindness, grace, and a servant’s heart, finding joy in caring for her family and sharing God’s love with those around her. Her greatest purpose was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she poured her heart into each of those roles.

She graduated Deweyville High school, where she was raised before meeting the love of her life, Bill Whitmire. The two shared 49 wonderful years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, faith, and unwavering devotion. Together they made their home in Vidor, Texas, where they raised their family and created countless cherished memories. As a homemaker, Patsy created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

Patsy found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved shopping, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured every gathering, every conversation, and every opportunity to make those she loved feel special. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and steadfast love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Whitmire, and her firstborn son, Baby Whitmire.

She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her legacy: her daughter and son-in-law, Celina and Ray Satterwhite of Newton, Texas; her daughter, Debbie Burns of Vidor, Texas; her brothers, Gene Thompson of Deweyville and wife Beverly, and Jack Thompson of Shreveport and wife Glema;   her grandchildren, Wayne Burns of Vidor, Texas; Josie and Cody Lambright of Splendora, Texas; Katie and Chris Riddick of Vidor, Texas; James and Ashley Burns of Vidor, Texas; and Jamie and Darby Aull of Vidor, Texas along with numerous treasured great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find peace in knowing that our Momma/Nanna is now reunited with our Dad/PawPaw and is resting in the presence of her Savior. Her life was a beautiful testimony of faith, love, and family. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23

Robert Hugh Sutton, known to everyone as "Hugh Bob", passed away on May 30,2026, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 80, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 14, 1946, in Mayflower, Texas, to Robert Benton Sutton and Janie Odell Sutton. Hugh grew up with a love for the land, a gift for storytelling, and a work ethic that defined his entire life. Hugh was a dedicated family man, a loyal friend, and someone who never met a stranger. He married the love of his life, Gloria Sue Sutton, and together they built a beautiful partnership that spanned 53 years with 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. That commitment to the next generation spoke volumes about who Hugh was at his core.

When he wasn't working or giving back, you could find Hugh doing what he loved most, hunting and fishing. The outdoors brought him peace, adventure, and no shortage of material for those famous stories of his.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Sue Sutton; his children, Sarah Elizabeth Barbabosa and husband Juan de Dios Barbabosa, Jerry Michael Sutton and wife Jill Marie Sutton, Robert Stephonson Sutton (Bud), and Traci Jean Sutton; his grandchildren, Juan Bryce Barbabosa, Benton Salvador Barbabosa and wife Valeria Barbabosa, Jerry Tyler Sutton, Justin Tanner Sutton and wife Bethany Sutton, Jonathan Trey Sutton, Tarryn Elizabeth Davis and husband Kenny Davis, Robert Colton Sutton and wife Haley Sutton, Hunter Alexander Fitzpatrick, Kathryn Jean Fitzpatrick, and Sabrina Ann Fitzpatrick; and his great-grandchildren, Renata Sophia Barbabosa, Madison Claire Doraty, Aubrey Faith Sutton, River Lane Davis, Kohen Earl Davis, Sage Tatum Sutton, Drue Parker Sutton, Sutton James Davis, Conley Teal Davis, Kinley Jean Hines, and Kollyns Sue Fitzpatrick (lovingly known as "Tooter").

Hugh now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior. A wake and celebration of life will be announced at a later time. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
